(does not apply in the Submission forum, one line posts are fine) You may only post CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM or REAL COMMENTS. CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, comments on how to make something better, or what to make better. 2. EXAMPLES (Good and Bad) Example A: (WRONG ) "WOW! 10/10" Example B: (WRONG ) "What (so-n-so) said." Example C: (RIGHT ) "Those sprites are a good start but you have some errors. Fix the quills a bit and the shading. 3. POSTS THAT ARE NOT ALLOWED These posts are not acceptable in any variation. a. It is best to give constructive critism, however if you have to rate a sheet, please follow:
Rating a sprite sheet is when you give it a basic score from (1-10)/10. These are what each of the ratings stands for. 0/10 - No effort/stolen. 1/10 - Nothing about this sprite is good. There is no shading, outlines and basic character suck, and no effort was put into it whatsoever. 2/10 - Sucks. Outlines are slightly OK, character still sucks, and only a slight amount of effort was put into it. (Can also be used for recolors.) Shading sucks. 3/10 - Bad. Outlines are somewhat correct, character might be a little original, and a considerate amount of work was put into it. Shading is almost acceptable, but has some flaws. 4/10 - Good effort. Same as 3/10 but a remarkable amount of effort was put into it ,also can be used for minor edits. 5/10 - Average sprite. Recolor and edited normal sprite. ex: (Red Sonic, longer quills) 6/10 - Getting there. Shading is acceptable; Character is slightly original, lightly edited. Allot of effort was put into it. ex: (Red Sonic, with longer quills, black jet shoes, yellow eyes and bat wings) 7/10 - Very good. A lot of effort was put into the sprite. Shading is very good, and sprite looks excellent, plus original. Custom sprites, or completely edited. 8/10 - Almost perfect. Looks remarkable, but not perfect. Some flaws, looks like it was made or edited of something.
9/10 - Pretty much perfect. Character model is heavily edited, Very original, and there are more than two flaws. A large amount of effort was put into its creation. Or the sprite is custom, with few errors to its original design. Looks amazing, or that if could be found in an actual video game. 10/10 - Reserved for 9/10s with more than twenty sprites in a sheet or Perfect sprites. Does look like its from video game, or almost looks like it was ripped instead. +1 points for keeping in an official style Maximum is 11/10. Any higher, its not really a warning type of thing, but over doing it will get you a warning though. Also is noobish. Ex. OMG 10/10000000000000!! XD <(not allowed) 5. WARNINGS For not rating properly… First: +10% (as if it was spam) Second: +20% (getting toward flame worthy) Third: +30% ("You're not listening, bucko") Fourth: +40% and therefore a ticket out of here anyway These are the rules to sprite rating.
