1. FLAMING/
SPAM/ ECT
-Flaming, racist remarks, etc. of any kind are not tolerated
here. If you get caught, depending on the severity,
punishment can range from a
verbal warning to a 25% warning.
Trolling and flame baiting will not be tolerated either, and
if we catch you trolling or flame baiting, the
punishment
can go so far as banishment depending on the amount,
severity, and how long you have been here. Second warning = Banned.
- Also, flaming a mod or admin for doing their job will
result in an even larger warning for you, up to possibly
even
banishment if
severe enough.
- Don’t know what flaming is?
Here’s a whole bloody Wikipedia
definition for you.
- Spam is when
you leave a post that would be considered inappropriate,
dumb, or useless.
- Do not spam, period. Use common sense when you post.
Second warning = Banned.
- Do not post gross, nude, anything deemed unsafe to view at
schools or work. Doing so will result in an instant ban if
you are new. (If you're a long time member, second warning =
Banned)
-Overuse of emoticons
also counts as spam. Ex: Using the "WTF"
emotion 12 times in a row.
2. GRAMMAR
- Check your spelling. most spelling
errors aren't that bad; however if it gets to a unreadable
point, then it's trouble.
If you are told to fix your typing and you do not, you will receive
a 10% warning.
I'd suggest installing the
Google toolbar.
It has a spell checking feature built in. This will enable
you to fix all your spelling errors.
Best way to check your own grammer? Easy: read what you
type before you post it.

3. DOUBLE POSTING
- Do not double post! doing this one
too many times will result in a permanent ban.
- If you are replying to a thread, please READ THE THREAD
you're posting in! Of course, if the thread is like, 100+
pages long, at least read
the first/last few pages.
*If you are the
owner of a topic, and are updating, it is okay to double
post.
4. GRAVE DIGGING
(bumping topics)
- Do not bump old topics, period.
(posting in a topic with an old date, or that's on any page
but one)
(projects and comics are exceptions, unless there done or
over)
---
-
Project topics such as "Ultimate" sheets may be grave dug if
you are submitting more than one pose to the
sheet.
- If you have a
topic of a sprite sheet, that is the same as another, and
you've updated the style, report in that old topic and it is
not grave
digging, but do not post unless you update with 30
or more poses, or a new Shading style.
- If there
is already a topic on an old sprites sheet, and you report
it, with minor changes like less than 10 sprites, and no new
shading style)
then you will be warned.20%
- If you
post a topic about a sprite with one pose....and then
another with a sheet that adds on to that in a few weeks,
you will be warned. 20%
- If you
spam topics of the same sprites, or minor edits (such as
adding a tail....then making one cause you changed the
hands) you will be warned.
10%-20%*Noticed,
this is where you are allowed to grave dig. (but only with
edits of the whole sprite sheet, not one single sprite)
-
IF YOU
REPEATEDLY GRAVE DIG TOPICS, YOU WILL GET first a
20%,
THEN A 30% added, then a 40%,
and then
be temp
banned for 10
days.
- If you are the
owner of a topic, and are allowed to bump your topic, as
long as it is a comic or project thread.

5. STEALING
Very easy rule
to follow and very simple to understand. Stealing is when
you either claim you made a sprite sheet that you did not,
use someone else's sprites with your own, and do not give credit. (for
credits, go to Sprite Rules)
If you are
caught stealing, the warn level is 50%.
there is no excuse for sprite theft; it is the
lowest you can possibly go, and 99.99% of the time, you
WILL be caught!
A second theft
is an instant ban, and for good. 100%
6. PIRATING/ ECT
- No sharing of pirated software. This includes anything
from programs, to serial numbers, to ROMs, to songs, etc.
Second warning = Banned. Simple.
7.
ACCOUNTS
- Only one account per person. Multiple names will result in
first a warning, then a ban. I'll know too; as the admin, I
can see your IP address
same for mods.
8.
WHAT IS WARNING/ BANNING?
-
What's a warning/banning?
-
Warning is when you get a % for something wrong you did,
once the % reaches 100, you get banned.
-
Banned is when you are no longer able to get into the forum,
this can be temp to for ever. Trying to make another account
will not work. -
The % goes down over time, but other than
that, we have a list, and we will know when you reach 100.
- If you have
been banned, DO NOT email Damien or Kajin complaining about
it.
9.
RESPECT
The most important of all the rules. If you don't respect others
(flaming,
spamming, rude or mean comments, unjustified ratings, treats), you will be warned
depending on the offense. As well, its better to keep
political and religious beliefs out. Little jokes are fine,
but direct offense is not tolerated.
The warning can go from 5% to 100% depending exactly what
you said.
10. ECT
-
When a topic is locked, don't make another version of it. You
will be warned
- And please, please
don't make posts saying "I'm leaving" or "I'll be back" etc.
Honestly....no one cares
- When making a
topic to show sprites, ect. the "strike system" is not
allowed, doing the strike system you will be warned 20% no
matter
how good
the work you have done is, deal with the comments you get
along with the critism, hence one of the main rules of
spriters
discussion. Ex: 4 strikes, every time someone says something
bad about my work, I will add a strike and when it reaches 4
Ill remove them.
11. REPORTING
POSTS/ SUGGESTIONS
- If you see
that someone has disobeyed a rule or done something
offensive, ect, press the report button
under there
name, post, gender ect in their window. This will report
what the person has done to "Club Mod"
and alert all
the mods instantly that are available, or available later
that come on that day.
- If you have a
small suggestion to the forum, please PM a mod, if you feel
it is something the forums needs to know and is a bigger
issue,
you can
make a topic for it and discuss it, however the topic will
be locked if the topic becomes a flame war.
